| OBJECTIVES
OF THE ASSOCIATION |

1. |
To advance quality and creation of awareness towards quality amongst the members. |
|
(a) To promote quality in the manufacture of Water Meters and its components.
(b) To ensure that the quality of products manufactured by its members shall strictly conform to the prevalent International/Indian specifications as amended from time to time.
(c) To monitor compliance of (a) and (b) above and for the purpose to draw samples on request or otherwise and have them tested and take remedial action against erring members.
(d) To act as a watching for ISO/BIS and to monitor quality of products manufactured by the members of the Association and on behalf of ISO/BIS.
(e) To generally improve quality and quality standards fixed by ISO/BIS. In this connection to represent, associate and cooperate with the ISO/BIS and appoint representatives on the panels of these organisations. |

To advance quality and creation of awareness towards quality amongst the users. |
|
(a) To ensure that the users use only quality products manufactured strictly conforming to the prevalent International/ Indian specifications as amended from time to time.
(b) To create confidence amongst users, by constant feedback on quality and due implementation of the standards.
(c) To propagate use of quality products by educating users. |

To advance quality and creation of awareness towards quality amongst general public. |
|
(a) To create confidence amongst general public about the quality of products manufactured by the Members of the Association.
(b) To promote standards for the benefit of public at large and for that purpose draw samples on request or otherwise and have them tested.
(c) To collect, circulate periodically amongst users and general public information on maintenance of quality of products manufactured by member. |

4. |
To promote scientific and other knowledge. |
|
(a) To create avenues of training, developing such avenues by developing skills of the recipient of the knowledge.
(b) To organise seminars, discussions, symposia of members, associate, technocrats and create and distribute literature on technical legal and economic aspects relating to the activities of the association.
(c) To create testing and/or laboratory facilities as are considered necessary.
(d) To print, publish, issue and circulate literature, books, circulars and literature as may be conducive to the objectives of the Association.
(e) To establish and maintain library for the use of members of the Association and to generally act as an information centre.
(f) To
conduct research in the field or to generally aid
institutions, individuals associated with conducting
such research.
(g) To educate by sponsoring delegations, survey/study
teams from amongst the members.
(h) To constantly make mercantile and scientific usage and customs. |
